The LoL account market has real shops and it has burner-account flippers. The difference decides whether you get a permanent second account or lose your login (and money) a month in. Here are the seven things to check before you buy from anyone — us included.
1. Full recovery information
The seller must hand over everything: username, password, the email on the account, birthdate and creation date. Missing recovery details mean you can never prove ownership to Riot support — and whoever holds those details holds the account.
2. An unverified email
This is the big one. If the account's email is verified to an address the seller controls, they can reset the password and take the account back after selling it. A safe account ships with an unverified email so that the first verified address is yours.
3. How the account was leveled
Three sources exist: hand-leveled, botted, and resold player accounts. Resold player accounts are the dangerous ones — the original owner can always recover them. Between the other two, what matters is the operation behind it: accounts leveled by the shop's own infrastructure have a track record you can check; accounts bought in bulk from anonymous farms do not.
4. A real warranty
Any serious shop guarantees the account for a period after purchase and replaces it if something goes wrong that is not your doing. Read what voids it — deliberately toxic play does everywhere.
5. Instant, automated delivery
Automated delivery to a dashboard or email means the shop actually holds its stock. "We'll send it within 24h" often means they are buying your account from someone else after you pay.
6. Payment security
Card payments through a real processor (Stripe or similar) and established crypto processors are fine. Direct bank transfer to a personal account or gift-card payments should end the conversation.
7. Reachable support
Look for a contact page, a Discord, response times people confirm. You are buying an ongoing relationship (warranty, login codes, replacements), not a file download.
